Hindrance to Wellness
2 Corinthians 9:8 (NIV)
“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” – 2 Corinthians 9:8 (NIV)
Don’t allow your past or present conditions to control you. It’s just a process that you’re going through to get to the next level.
Sometimes there are hindrances to receiving divine healing, such as unconfessed sins – (James 5:16), demonic oppression, fear, anxiety, past disappointments, a failed marriage, the death of a loved one, and the list goes on. But there are steps we can take so that we can be well in body and mind. The most important one is to be sure you are in the right relationship with Jesus Christ. Matthew 6:33 encourages us to, ‘seek the Lord’s presence in our life first’, while James 5:14 reminds us to call for prayers from the elders whenever we are sick, and importantly, believe and expect miracles – (Matthew 13:58 – NIV).
Sometimes, it can be easy to lose hope because we feel that we have missed God or that it is too late for His promises to come to pass. However, Proverbs 17:22 admonished us to choose to be merry or remain broken. Brethren, the utmost importance for spiritual health is the seeking and willingness to accept Jesus Christ into your present life. God is able. We only have to believe and trust Him to take us to that next level. Do you believe today?
Prayer
Dear Father, I come to You through Your son Jesus Christ, accepting I am not well, and in need of your touch of healing. Forgive me and cleanse me, Lord. Heal my body, soul, and spirit; my complete being. Make me new, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
